Main features
Outline of a traditional fish with low rocker and thin rails for speed and easy paddling. Concave under front foot leading into a Vee double concave. This type of Vee, found in the back third of a surfboard provides some directional stability. The double concave in the rear loosens up the board and will channel the water into two streams through the fins and out the tail. The board finishes off with a twelve inch wide, deep swallow for extra hold.
Channels?
What about the channels? Do they work? There's alot of chat about channels, some for, some against. As you might know we make boards for a bunch of other brands, many with channels. Phil Myers and FreeFlight, Simon Jones and Morning of the Earth etc. They Work!! Drive, hold and speed are what you're going to get and on a little twin like this one, that all comes together, allowing you to really push that back foot without it sliding out like many similar traditional shaped twinnies. (Especially in steeper, better waves). It means you can drive them without having to nurse them through the turns and alleviate that blocky backside turn feeling We may not all be at that place on our surfing journey, but it's nice to dream and also good to know that this board has the capability of helping you along the way.
If speed is what you’re after, this board is everything and more. Available to custom order in both PU and Epoxy.
